Author Guidelines

Authors must carefully follow these instructions to avoid delays in the submission, double-blind peer-review, and publication process.

Submission

Submissions must be made through the D'Stijl online submission system. Authors must log in or create a new account if they do not have one. Please download and carefully follow the Submission Guidelines (PDF) provided on the journal website

There are three documents that must be submitted separately:

    1. Submission Form (a scanned version is acceptable) (template) file max 2mb.
    2. Manuscript following the Template (template) file max 2mb.
    3. Supporting Documents (figures and tables), file max 2mb:
      • Figures must have a minimum resolution of 640 x 480 pixels and a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels.
      • Upload figures individually and name them as Figure 1, Figure 2, and so on.
      • The total number of figures and tables must not exceed 10.

After uploading via the system, authors must also send an email to sciarctech@gmail.com. Only manuscripts that have completed all these steps will be processed further.
To ensure a complete submission, please refer to the Submission Checklist.

Revision

After submission, manuscripts will undergo a preliminary formatting review by the editorial team. Authors may be asked to correct formatting issues or complete missing information.

When submitting a revised manuscript, authors must also include a Revision Note, detailing all changes made and providing responses to comments from reviewers and editors.
The Revision Note must be submitted in Word format.

Authors are required to upload the following documents for revision:

  1. Revision Note – listing all changes made (Template Provided).

  2. Revised Manuscript – changes must be clearly indicated either by using the "text highlight color tool" or enabling "track changes" in document editing software.

  3. Supporting Documents – must be re-uploaded even if no changes are made.

  4. Reference List exported from a Citation Manager (.RIS format) – please refer to the guidelines for exporting references from EndNote, Mendeley, or Zotero.

Publication

Once the manuscript has been revised, reviewed, and accepted by the Editor-in-Chief, the final accepted version will be stored in the D’Stijl online journal system.
Authors may access their manuscript for personal use and institutional archiving.

In D'Stijl, Accepted Author Manuscripts (AAM) are not publicly available.
Only the Version of Record (VOR), the final published version, will be made publicly accessible on the journal website without embargo.

The final accepted manuscript will go through the following processes:

  • Copyediting

  • Typesetting and Layout Editing

  • Metadata Application

  • Assignment of a DOI (Digital Object Identifier)

There are no submission or publication fees for authors submitting to D’Stijl during the launching period.
